With the purpose of encouraging social organisations to broadcast and cover the Hangzhou Asian Para Games, media practitioners are hereby invited to submit their applications for rights holding broadcaster. Details are as follows:

Overview

1.1 Inviter: The 4th Asian Para Games Hangzhou 2022 Organising Committee

1.2 Applicant: Any organisation or agency (the Applicant) that wishes to broadcast the Hangzhou Asian Para Games in Asia (except Chinese Mainland  and Macau SAR)

1.3 Authorised area of broadcasts: Asia (except Chinese Mainland and Macau SAR)

1.4 Authorised channels for content distribution:

Exclusive broadcasting rights are on offer for radio, television and new media, and exclusive sub-licensing rights for radio, television and new media.

1.5 Number of broadcasters to be accredited: 1.

1.6 Means of selection: Open application.

II. Applicant Requirements

2.1 The Applicant wishes to be a rights-holding broadcaster or agency of the Hangzhou Asian Para Games, and intends to act accordingly;

2.2 The Applicant should have abundant technical and financial resources, and the ability to independently broadcast Games events on its own TV channels and new media platforms, or the resources and experience to engage the relevant, and qualified, broadcasters and/or media platforms to complete such broadcasting;

2.3 The Applicant must follow good business practices and have and maintain good social standing;

2.4 The Applicant will be required to participate in the selection process according to the relevant procedures and requirements of the Inviter.

III. Application & Selection Procedure

3.1 Invitation to submit applications;

3.2 The Applicant prepares a Letter of Intent, a completed Information Registration Form and other required information (see Attachment 1 and Attachment 2);

3.3 The Applicant submits the application and related documents;

3.4 The Rights-Holding Broadcaster is selected after negotiations with eligible Applicants;

3.5 The broadcasting agreement is signed.

IV. Submission of Letter of Intent, Information Registration Form, and attachments.

4.1 Submission method

The candidate should send the original Letter of Intent and required documentation and materials to the Inviter no later than 12:00pm on 13 September 2022 Beijing Time, or e-mail an electronic version of the relevant documentation and materials (scanned PDFs) as an attachment to the following address: marketing@hangzhou2022.cn. The e-mail subject should be “Rights-holding Broadcaster application materials + full name of the organisation” (the name on the attachment shall be the same as the name stated in the e-mail subject). The candidate shall confirm that the e-mail has been received, by the relevant contact person from Marketing Department, in a timely manner. Any late submissions or applications submitted by other means will not be accepted.

4.2 Submission of documents

The Applicant shall submit the following documents:

4.2.1 A completed and stamped Letter of Intent;

4.2.2 A completed and stamped Information Registration Form;

4.2.3 Supplementary materials (no limitation on the type or amount of content, including but not limited to an introduction to the organisation and previous broadcasting experience).

The Inviter reserves the following rights in this selection process:

6.1 Modify and/or supplement this announcement or change the time frame of this round of the selection process.

6.2 Accept or reject any letter of intent, make changes to or cancel this invitation and announcement and round of selection at any time, without liability or explanation of such to the Applicant;

6.3 Reserve the right of final interpretation of this announcement and any or all attachments.

If the event of any changes made to this announcement and/or related matters, the Inviter will inform the Applicant of these changes in an appropriate manner.
