Recently, many media in Zhejiang have focused on the Asian Games venue in Lin'an District, Hangzhou. This venue follows the "green" concept from inside to outside, and achieves the low carbon and energy conservation, reputed as the "Low-carbon Venue".

The Asian Games Venue is renovated based on Lin'an Sports Culture & Exhibition Centre, and it will hold the taekwondo and wrestling events during Hangzhou Asian Games.

In the main venue, the top light tube can best reflect the green and energy-saving design. These light tubes can introduce natural light into the venue by setting up the lighting tubes and accessories on the roof, and automatically adjust the artificial lighting according to the lighting conditions to achieve saving energy consumption and improving lighting comfort. The person in charge of facilities stated, "It is not necessary to turn on the light when there are events to be held during the daytime."

Green lighting is also used outside the venue. The street lights of each passage adopt solar street lamps which are powered by solar panels.

In addition, the terrain of the whole venue presents the mountain terrain, and it is high in the south and low in the north. The roof is decorated with plants, able to carry out thermal insulation and reduce energy consumption to a certain extent.
