The National Beach Volleyball Grand Slam (Xiangshan Stop), Zhejiang Marine Model Invitational Tournament and other major events will soon be launched in Xiangshan, Ningbo.

Ningbo is a place for holding the sailing & windsurfing and beach volleyball events of Hangzhou Asian Games. It takes the Asian Games as an opportunity to boost the vigorous development of the marine sports industry and promote the local economy.

Since June, Tianfei Lake (Ningbo Bay, Fenghua) has held six sports events such as Zhejiang Youth Canoe Slalom Championships, attracted about 2,300 athletes from outside the district, and driven the consumption of nearly 5.89 million yuan. Sailing certification training centres in Meishan Bay and other places have trained many teenagers to obtain the sailing licenses. Xiangshan will continue to carry out public welfare training for sailing promotion, youth sailing summer camp, sailing experience for thousands of citizens, and other marine sports popularization activities.

In addition, Xiangshan and other places have released the related policies and management plans, formed the marine sports talent teams, and introduced the sports operation organizations, to stimulate the development of aquatic sports in Ningbo.
