Two Test Events Will Be Held at Chun'an Asian Games Sports Venues from September

Among all 57 sports venues for Hangzhou Asian Games and Asian Para Games, Chun’an undertakes the construction of one new sports venue, five temporary sports venues, and an Asian Games Sub Village.

Racing tracks at international standard have been completed in the Track Cycling Venue and will be inspected in September with five temporary sports venues with regards to functions of sports events. The Asian Games Sub Village will also finish construction and be inspected by the end of this year according to the schedule.

Two test events will be held in Chun’an this year: open water swimming on 26th September and road bicycle racing on October 23rd and 24th.
This is an important part of the preparation for Hangzhou Asian Games, considering sports venues as venue-oriented projects.

The open water swimming competition for amateur swimmers will be held at Chengzhonghu of the Qiandao Lake Square.

The individual time trial will be held at Xiushui Square and Center-Loop Lake Area Road, with a total length of about 140km, which is also the route for female road bicycle racing of Hangzhou Asian Games. The sprint race will be held at Pearl Peninsula, 10 km each loop and three loops in all. All competitors are amateur cyclists.

Chun’an has held six international open water swimming competitions and a state-level open water swimming competition (2014) in the past. It also has 15 years of experience in road bicycle racing. The test events this year will be an all-around examination of the Asian Games preparation of Chun’an.
