Second leg of national taekwondo championship series kicks off in Wenzhou
The second leg of the 2023 National Taekwondo Championship Series commenced on May 18 in Wenzhou, local media outlets reported.
Competitors from Shanxi, Anhui, Guangdong, and Beijing emerged victorious on the inaugural day, clinching titles across four different weight categories for both male and female divisions.
A total of 693 athletes from 37 teams participated in the competition. The event comprised 16 weight categories, including men's 54kg, 58kg, 63kg, 68kg, 74kg, 80kg, 87kg, and 80kg and above, as well as women's 46kg, 49kg, 53kg, 57kg, 62kg, 67kg, 73kg, and 67kg and above.
The National Taekwondo Championship Series provides a platform for athletes from various regions to showcase their skills and compete at a national level.
