Bouaphat Phoutthavong, Consul General of Laos in Shanghai, harbors the same expectation for the Asian Games sports events to be staged in Jinhua. According to him, since the project of "Homestay in Jinhua's Historical Villages" in Jinhua, many young people of Laos have learned about China and Chinese culture through Jinhua. Sepaktakraw is a sport in which Laos excels, so he hopes that athletes will achieve excellent results in the sepaktakraw event in Jinhua.
