Soft Tennis

2022/04/08 18:04

Soft tennis is a racket game played on a court of two halves, separated by a net.

Like tennis, it is played by individuals (singles) or pairs (doubles), whose objective is to hit the ball over the net, landing within the confines of the court, with the aim of preventing one's opponent from being able to hit it back.

Soft tennis differs from regular tennis in that it uses soft rubber balls instead of hard felt covered balls.

Soft tennis adopts the best of seven games (singles) or the best of nine games (doubles), and the winner is the one who scores four points in each game first.

Soft tennis was first incorporated into the Asian Games in 1994.

The soft tennis of the Hangzhou Asian Games will be held in Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Tennis Centre from October 3 to October 7, and the athletes will compete for 5 gold medals.
