On September 17, a ceremony was held in Hangzhou for 18 volunteers with impairments who will serve in Hangzhou Asian Games and Hangzhou Asian Para Games.

The group of 18 consists of athletes, retired servicemen and philanthropists.

These volunteers will receive concentrated training starting September 24.

From September 29 to October 5, they will provide services for the Athletics of Hangzhou Asian Games at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Stadium. Some of them will participate in the opening and closing ceremonies of the Hangzhou Asian Para Games.

Among the 18 is Zhu Lei, who had a chance to serve the Athletics of the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Para Games and the Jakarta 2018 Asian Para Games. He looks forward to bettering his service with his good eperiences.

"We have over 100 sign language teachers who provide services around the clock during the event," said Bai Yiyu, another member of the volunteer service team.
