Recently, the Chinese Para Taekwondo Team gathered in Qingdao for 58-day closed training to prepare themselves for the upcoming Hangzhou Asian Para Games.

The Chinese Para Taekwondo Team was officially assembled in May 2016 and has been stationed in Qingdao for training since then. It comprises 22 members, including the team leader, personnel, coaches, and athletes. The 11 athletes (three males and eight females) are from Shandong, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Hunan, Sichuan, Gansu, etc., at an average age of 25. It will be the first time for all of them to participate in the Asian Para Games. Among them, Li Yujie once won the gold medals in the WT World Para Taekwondo Championships and Asian Para Taekwondo Championships. Shao Qian and Chen Shihe were gold medal winners of this year's National Para Taekwondo Championships.
