Brilliant Chinese women athletes shine at World Para Archery Championships

On July 18, the 2023 World Para Archery Championships took place in Pilsen, Czech Republic. As one of the qualification events for the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, the competition was quite fierce. The Chinese Para Archery Team sent its most potent lineup, including Wu Chunyan, Wu Yang, Chen Haoquan, Ai Xinliang, and Zhao Lixue, to participate in the Championships.

The Championships concluded on July 23 in Pilsen. Wu Chunyan and Wu Yang achieved excellent results and obtained entries to the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games. Between the two, Wu Chunyan, as a veteran athlete, performed stably and clinched three gold medals at the recurve women's individual, recurve mixed team, and recurve double. Despite her first participation in an international event, Wu Yang stood out and won a bronze medal in the recurve women's individual. In the double event, Wu Yang and Wu Chunyan collaborated closely and brought another gold medal to the Chinese team.
