On May 17, with the theme "Living with Love, Healing with Beauty", Zhejiang Calligraphy Exhibition for People with Impairments and Hangzhou Cultural and Art Exhibition for People with Impairments opened in Hangzhou. The event was co-organised by Zhejiang Provincial Disabled Persons' Federation, Executive Office of the 4th Asian Para Games Hangzhou 2022 Organising Committee, Hangzhou Municipal Disabled Persons' Federation, and Hangzhou Municipal Literary and Art Federation.

The art exhibition not only features brilliant paintings of Paralympic champions' winning moments, but also works on Asian Games and Asian Para Games themes created by exceptional children.

At the centre of the exhibition is the "Laurels", the image of the torch of the 4th Asian Para Games Hangzhou 2022, with Braille design at the bottom and the special bracket for wheelchair athletes reflecting the integration of humanistic care and technology. The Chinese characters of "Laurels" are written by Wang Yuanpeng, a Hangzhou calligrapher with impairments.

In addition to displaying the works, the five-day exhibition will present a series of interactive activities, including a public auction of works by people with impairments, art co-creation, and an art healing salon.
