Recently, the accessible renovation for Xiaoshan Sports Centre, the venue of Hangzhou Asian Games soccer and weightlifting events, has been fully completed. To facilitate the use for people with finger impairments, the toilet flush button is 4cm higher than the water tank, which is an innovative move of Xiaoshan in upgrading the accessible environment.

"Accurate to centimeters" has become a standard for almost every accessibility location. The tiny adjustments at the centimeter level will bring great changes to the experience of people with impairments.

Up to now, Xiaoshan District has implemented accessible renovation in 13 Asian Games hotels, 4 hospitals, 15 key parks, 7 key public toilets, 39 connection areas of subway stations in operation and key transportation hubs.

The accessible environment is indispensable to ensure equal participation of people with impairments in social activities and will bring safety and convenience to more older people, the pregnant and children.
