The 18th Asian Games takes place over 16 days in Jakarta, Indonesia, from August 18 to September 2, 2018. Jakarta is the third capital city to win the right to host the second Asian Games after Bangkok and New Delhi. Palembang is the co-host city of the 2018 Asian Games. It has a total of 40 events, including 32 Olympic events and 8 non Olympic events. 45 countries and regions take part in the games. The slogan is "Energy of Asia".
