The Hangzhou Asian Games Smart Driving Experience Route was launched on September 13, with just 10 days left until the opening of Hangzhou Asian Games, jointly created by the Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee and the Official Prestige Partner, Geely Holding Group, it is the first advanced smart driving demonstration route in the host city of Hangzhou.

"The stops of the Hangzhou Asian Games Smart Driving Experience Route include key locations such as the Asian Games Village, the Main Media Centre, and the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Venue Cluster, covering the core areas with the most frequent visitor flows during the Games," said Li Hongchao, a person in charge from Geely. During the Games, five driverless vehicles along this route will provide smart transportation services for different groups, including media reporters, athletes, and the general public.

This route incorporates many advanced technologies. The vehicles are capable of identifying traffic lights, making way for pedestrians, turning with no protection measures, and overtaking in complex open urban road scenarios. Li said that "The new vehicles on the road can move with ease, just like experienced drivers."
