On July 11, the Chinese DanceSport Federation unveiled the Chinese Breaking Team roster for the Hangzhou Asian Games, with the esteemed Chinese breaking dancers of Shang Xiaoyu, Liu Qingyi, Qi Xiangyu, and Zeng Yingying selected.

In the upcoming Hangzhou Asian Games, breaking will be an official event for the first time. Behind its inclusion in the Asian Games, this dancesport features intense competitiveness. Athletes are required to present high-level dance movements within the required time, and the presented dance should not only be original and diverse but also synchronised with specific accompanying music. The entire performance should be a captivating spectacle for spectators, full of highlights and excitement.

The Hangzhou Asian Games breaking event will take place at the Gongshu Canal Sports Park Gymnasium, with two gold medals for grabs.
