Flame for 19th Asian Games lit at Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City

On June 15, Hangzhou Asian Games flame was successfully ignited in Damojiao Mountain of the Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City in Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province, to mark the 100-day countdown to the opening of the 19th Asian Games.
The flame was lit out of a concave mirror using the sun's rays, and then the flame box was ignited, which means that the Asian Games flame was successfully ignited.
Liangzhu Ancient City Site is the holy land for demonstrating more than 5,000 years of Chinese civilization history, and the Asian Games flame has been ignited here. This implies that, the flame of sports, civilization and peace symbolizing the great unity of Asia is ignited to better show the ancient history of Chinese civilization and the good wishes of Chinese people.
In addition, the torch lighting and torch relay launch ceremony of the 19th Asian Games will be held along the West Lake in Hangzhou in mid-September. After that, the torch will be passed in 11 cities in Zhejiang province.
The Digital Torchbearer will be passed concurrently online through the Smart Hangzhou 2022 in various cities in China as well as multiple countries and regions in Asia.
