Recently, the selection tournament (second stage) for the Chinese Xiangqi team for the Hangzhou Asian Games ended, and China's lineup for the Xiangqi event of the Hangzhou Asian Games has been determined. Zhao Xinxin and Wang Tianyi, both from Zhejiang, secured spots on the national men's team, and the Hubei player Zuo Wenjing and Heilongjiang player Wang Linna were selected for the women's team.

According to the selection rules, players' ranking determines their doubling-up qualifications. The first-place male player can earn the starting list of both men's individual and team events. The second-place winner can take the men's individual and the team reserve or participate in the team event as part of the main lineup.

Wang Tianyi, ranked third, expressed regret as he failed to win the qualification to participate in the men's individual event.
