On May 7, the 2023 "Run for Fun" race started in Hangzhou Asian Games Village. When the race began, nearly a thousand runners rushed out of the starting line.

Personnel of the Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee, operators and volunteers of the Asian Games Village, along with people from the Asian Games Village's construction units and service providers joined in the running event, experiencing the vibrancy and warmth of the city hosting the Asian Games through joyful running.

The Mascots Congcong, Chenchen, and Lianlian interacted with runners on site.
