On April 16, the Chinese national Xiangqi training team arrived at Hangzhou Qi-Yuan (Zhili) Chess Hall. They will hold their first training in Hangzhou from April 17 to 21 in preparation for the Hangzhou Asian Games.

The players will compete for the Asian Games qualification through the Chinese National Xiangqi Team Qualification Tournament for the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 held during the training. Three male players and two female players will be qualified for Xiangqi events of the Hangzhou Asian Games.
