At 2023 Asian Water Polo Championships & 2023 Asian Qualification for Water Polo World Cup launched in Singapore on March 22-27, the teams from eight countries and regions took part in the competition of the men's group. The top four teams in the competition can be qualified to attend 2023 World Cup Intercontinental Competition.

In the finals, Chinese Men's Water Polo Team defeated Iranian Team with the score of 11:8, winning the champion again in the past 11 years. This meant that, Chinese Men's Water Polo Team successfully obtained the qualification of participating in 2023 World Cup Intercontinental Competition to be held in Berlin (Germany) in May.
