Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Aquatic Sports Arena is the competition and training venue for swimming, diving and artistic swimming of Hangzhou Asian Games. It has five pools, such as competition pool, diving pool, warm-up pool, children pool and parent-child pool, with a water storage capacity of over 10,000 tons, recognized as the "big water consumer".
In fact, the Asian Games venue adopts many advanced water-saving technologies, and elicits the "economical" and "green" concept while keeping water clean.
Fang Tao, the heating & ventilation and water supply & drainage operation director of the Aquatic Sports Arena, introduced to the reporter: "Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Aquatic Sports Arena uses the most advanced 24-hour water circulation system. Every day, the water in the swimming pool can pass through the outlet on the pool wall, undergo a new cycle of processing, and then re-enter the swimming pool via return pipes. This guarantees the water quality for world-class swimming competitions in the venue. The water in the venue is still clean and clear without being changed all year round, and even meets the standard for direct drinking."
In addition, the circulating water pump uses the frequency conversion processing technique, able to automatically adjust the processing speed as required, so as to reduce energy consumption. The energy saving rate is more than 15%.
He Xingyou, the voluntary water conservation supervisor of Hangzhou, said: "The swimming pool of Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre Aquatic Sports Arena can save the water of about 90,000 tons every year, which is equivalent to to the amount of water that can be provided to 4,000 people for a year."
