On March 16, Tayyab lkram, the Chairman of the International Hockey Federation, visited Hangzhou Gongshu Canal Sports Park Stadium to investigate its preparations for Hangzhou Asian Games.

Gongshu Canal Sports Park Stadium is the competition venue for the hockey event of Hangzhou Asian Games, and it is also the competition venue for the blind football event of Hangzhou Asian Para Games. The appearance design of the venue is derived from Jiangnan oiled paper umbrella as the intangible cultural heritage of Hangzhou, and the venue is called "Hangzhou Umbrella" by citizens.

Tayyab lkram was impressed by this venue with its unique appearance and facilities. After listening to the introduction of the staff on venue design, running streamline, functional zoning, post-event venue utilization plans and other relevant information, he said: "The venue has the unique and beautiful appearance, with reasonable functional room layout and complete facilities, as well as two clean and tidy hockey fields. It is very excellent hockey competition venue." He suggested that the venue should introduce more international events and be built into a wonderful hockey hub.
