On December 14, Twelve Asian Games E-CNY Hardware Wallets (Two Series) Release & Public Transport Scenario Launch Ceremony kicked off in Hangzhou. Chen Weiqiang, the deputy secretary general of Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee and the deputy mayor of Hangzhou City, participated in the event and delivered a speech.

Hardware wallets take e-CNY as the functional core, and their appearance design is fully combined with the elements of Hangzhou Asian Games and the cultural characteristics of host cities. They are divided into card type and bracelet type, which can meet the needs of different people and bring more convenient, safer and more efficient consumption experience to the public.

On the site, Hangzhou Branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and Hangzhou Public Transport Group jointly launched Hangzhou Public Transport E-CNY Scenario. At present, in ten urban districts of Hangzhou, more than 1,200 bus lines that adopt the universal ticket system can support the QR code scanning payment of e-CNY hardware wallets.

Chen Weiqiang pointed out that, it was necessary to focus on the construction of application scenarios for Hangzhou Asian Games, and build mobile payment in local and foreign currencies, smart travel, and other diversified application scenarios in competition venues, Asian Games Village, etc., to fully embody the intelligent features of Hangzhou Asian Games.
