On December 10, at the second part of the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP15) to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity in Montreal, Canada, Chun'an (Hangzhou, Zhejiang) had a dialogue with Montreal (Canada) to share the distinctive highlights and experiences of Chun'an in the aspect of green Asian Games and biodiversity.

Hangzhou Qiandao Lake, Kinston Qiandao Lake (Canada) and Hubei Huangshi Yangxin Xiandao Lake are reputed three great Qiandao Lakes in the world. Qiandao Lake, also known as Thousand Island Lake, is the epitome of global forest fragmentation, so it is particularly important to carry out biodiversity protection. Through exploration, Chun'an has become the national demonstration area of ecology and conservation. Nearly 80 domestic and foreign academic journals have been published by Qiandao Lake Institute, and the action of Qiandao Lake has drawn international attention.

In addition, Chun'an is a place for launching the cycling event of Hangzhou Asian Games to be held next year, and also the place of the Asian Games Sub-villages. In this regard, by setting the multi-level ecological forms, such as wetland, steep slope, valley and forest landscape, the Asian Games venue in Chun'an properly implements the biological protection when maintaining the biodiversity and achieving the success of the event.
