With the completion of the 56 venues of the Asian Games, the number of large stadiums continues to grow. According to the statistics, in 2021, there were 1,860 stadiums, gymnasiums and natatoriums, with a total area of 7.8624 million square meters, averaging 2.55 square meters per capita.

On August 8, the National Fitness Day, stadiums and gymnasiums were open to the public free of charge, triggering an upsurge of the zeal for national fitness. Among other sports, swimming was especially popular. In different pools across the city, residents began to queue up from 5 am. The Tianshui natatorium, the venue for the Asian Games swimming competitions, accommodated 3,572 swimmers, the pool at Zhengyuan was visited by 1930 swimmers, and the Hangzhou No. 2 Middle School swimming pool by 1,285, amounting to a total of 6,787 people.

Shaoxing is the co-host city hosting the largest number of games, second to the main host Hangzhou, involving five venues. According to the statistics,
the venues in Shaoxing received more than 130,000 people for fitness in July. As sports consumption is heating up, Shaoxing distributed 30 million sports consumption coupons, at five intervals with values of 50 RMB, 30 RMB, and 20 RMB respectively. The huge consumption numbers are clear evidence that more people are starting to enjoy sports and make it part of their lives.

Thanks to the construction of fitness facilities, the sports boom brought by the Asian Games continues. It is expected that by the end of 2022, the per capita area of sports venues in Zhejiang will grow to more than 2.6 square meters, and more than 42.5 percent of people will regularly do exercises. And urban communities are striving to build a "10-minute fitness circles".
