The official announcement shows that "the first stop of Hangzhou Asian Games Fun Run" will be launched in Phnom Penh

On October 1, the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia, and Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (HAGOC) held the press conference in Phnom Penh. At the conference, it was announced that, the first overseas stop of "Hangzhou Asian Games Fun Run" would be launched along Tonle Sap River of Phnom Penh (Cambodia) at 6:00 am on October 2. Nearly 1,000 people are expected to participate in the event.

At the press conference, HAGOC made the brief introduction of the preparations for the Asian Games. Nowadays, 54 competition venues are open to the public, with more than 2 million person-times to participate in the fitness activity. HAGOC has also formulated the latest version of the general competition schedule, unit competition schedule and event schedule, and specified the time for restarting the registration of the number of people at the second stage and the time of the name registration at the third stage. In addition, HAGOC will continue to stabilize the venue operation team, improve the preparation of venue operation plans, hold multiple competitions for normalized drills, enhance the professional ability of the event holding team, extensively carry out various promotion activities for the Asian Games, and strengthen the brand publicity of the Asian Games. OCA has affirmed the results of the preparation work.

It was reported that, half a month before the press conference, China also launched the sports technical assistance project to Cambodia so as to help Cambodia prepare for next year's Southeast Asia Games and Hangzhou Asian Games. Vath Chamroeun stated that Cambodia expressed its sincere gratitude to China for its selfless help.

On October 4, Phnom Penh will hold the 41st OCA General Assembly.
