Recently, Huzhou-Hangzhou Section of Hefei-Hangzhou High-speed Railway has passed the operation safety assessment of China State Railway Group. It will be formally integrated into the high-speed rail network of the Yangtze River Delta soon.

As a significant node project to build the "Yangtze River Delta on Rail" and an important transport support project of Hangzhou Asian Games, Huzhou-Hangzhou Section of Hefei-Hangzhou High-speed Railway starts from the existing Huzhou Station, runs through South Taihu New District and Wuxing District of Huzhou, as well as Deqing County, passes by Yuhang District, Xihu District, Fuyang District and Tonglu County of Hangzhou, stretches across Fuchun River, and then enters Tonglu Station of Hangzhou-Huangshan High-speed Railway.

The newly-built line is about 137.8 km long, with a design speed of 350 km/h, setting up Huzhou, Deqing, Hangzhouxi, Fuyangxi, Tongludong and Tonglu Stations. Among them, Hangzhouxi, Fuyangxi and Tongludong are new stations. After the project is completed and is open to traffic, it will further improve the one-hour traffic circle of Zhejiang.
