The station building of it covers an aboveground area of about 510,000 square meters, with nine floors in total, including four underground floors and five aboveground floors. The station involves 11 platforms and 20 lines, and adopts the whole elevated station plan. It follows the design concept of "Cloud City", building spatial facilities such as "Cloud Valley", "Cloud Road" and "Cloud Hall".

The internal station hall has a large space. The equipment used for ticketing, security and ticket check has been in place. The entrance of the waiting hall is uniformly decorated to look like a space capsule. Passengers can enter the ticket gate, pass through the golden circular arc, and go straight down to the high-speed rail platform. On the waiting floor, the open ticket halls, toilets and other service function venues are set up at four corners to form the "floating island" commercial mezzanine.

The "Inner Cloud Valley" is the most attractive, with eight long escalators installed at the east and west ends, convenient for passengers to enter and leave the high-speed rail outbound level and comprehensive transport facility level.

The waiting hall has the panoramic glass curtain wall to provide a direct view of landscape.

The south of the station building is the cloud gate for passengers to enter and leave the station building, and the design eliminates the sense of separation between the station and the city to reflect the integration of the station and the city.

The building of Hangzhouxi Railway Station has obtained the 3-star National Green Building Certification. The special design increases the window opening area, and the indoor space can achieve better ventilation effect. The intelligent electric fan and other equipment can carry out the real-time monitoring and analysis for indoor environment, to ensure the fresh air and safe operation.

The central area of the waiting hall also sets up the VIP passenger waiting zone, military personnel waiting zone, child recreation zone, etc., and some seats are equipped with the USB charging interfaces, providing convenience for passengers.
