Wenzhou held the wrestling championships as the first national event this year
On the morning of July 22, China International Wrestling Championships 2022 kicked off in Wenzhou Olympic Sports Centre Gymnasium. This is the third consecutive year when the event is held in Wenzhou.
The experience of the first two events has greatly improved the efficiency of preparations for competitions. Wenzhou has received unanimous praise in terms of event organization, venue layout, logistical support, pandemic prevention, security, and media publicity. In this year's arena layout, the number of monitoring camera positions for each competition has been increased from two last year to four, to truly achieve the no-dead-corner monitoring and fully demonstrate the fairness of the game.
With the theme of "Sports Promoting Economic Development", this event has become a "new force" for stabilizing the economy and boosting the growth during the pandemic. Every year, nearly 2,000 people come to Wenzhou to participate in the 12-day wrestling event, to promote the consumption of venues, accommodation, catering, entertainment, transport, etc. It is estimated to directly drive the consumption of more than 10 million yuan.
