Wang Shun is China's male swimming champion from Ningbo, Zhejiang. In the Asian Games Jakarta 2018, he won the gold medal of the 200m medley, becoming famous overnight.

In the beginning, due to his physical weakness, Wang Shun would like to improve his physique by learning swimming. Later, he was fond of swimming and was fortunately selected into Zhejiang Sports School. In 2009, he followed Famous Coach Zhu Zhigen to join the National Swimming Team. Then he has been with the National Team to participate in the events at home and abroad.

His parents were very concerned about him, which also had a great influence on Wang Shun. In 2003, Wang Shun came to Hangzhou alone for closed swimming training during "SARS". This ten-year-old boy was naughty and often got into trouble. His mother could not help missing him and wrote a letter to care about him and persuade him to study hard. Interestingly, the family letter was attached with three mathematical word problems to encourage him to be diligent in thinking. Wang Shun did not complete these three problems at that time, but this letter containing the message of missing has been treasured by him for 15 years. 

In the Asian Games Guangzhou 2010, 16-year-old Wang Shun seized the silver medal of the men's 200m individual medley. In 2011, Wang Shun won the champion of the men's 400m individual medley in the National Swimming Championships, breaking the Asian record. However, his swimming career had not been without its setbacks. In the Olympic Games London 2012, Wang Shun unfortunately got knocked out at the 200m medley group stage. After returning to China, he timely adjusted himself and continued to accept the training.

Finally, Wang Shun won the champion in the Asian Games Jakarta 2018. This was his first gold medal of the Asian Games, and was also the gold medal of the 200m medley that was obtained by Chinese Delegation again after 20 years. After winning the champion, Wang Shun was so exited that he did not sleep all night. He couldn't help posting a message via Microblog to express his gratitude.
