On the afternoon of April 27, in the women's 48kg finals of "Exciting Hangzhou" 2022 National Jujitsu Championships, Wu Guanshan from Wang Kehan's Team defeated Zhang Tianning from Zhejiang Sports Lottery Ticket Team to win the first national jujutsu champion of China.

What is the difference between jujitsu and judo whose names are very confusing? Although Brazilian jujitsu derived from Japanese judo, the emphasis of both has changed with the development of the sport. Jujitsu is more focused on ground techniques. Athletes use some movements like lock and choke, and finish mount, back mount, guard pass, wrestling and other techniques to get the scores. However, Judo pays attention to "throwing technique" to knock out and defeat the opponent.

Jujitsu has not been developed in China for a long time, and it became the official event of the Asian Games in 2018. The national championships play a positive role in promoting Jujitsu. In this event, about 80 athletes participate in the National Jujitsu Championships in Xiaoshan Linpu Gymnasium, competing for gold medals at 7 levels for men and women respectively.

According to the plan, the jujitsu event of Hangzhou Asian Games would respectively have had 4 levels for men and women, but the national championships has respectively set 7 levels for men and women in order to attract more talents so that more athletes can participate in the sport.

Chinese Team was absent from the jujitsu event of Jakarta Asian Games. It is expected to achieve the zero breakthrough in Hangzhou Asian Games. The athletes participating in the jujitsu event of Hangzhou Asian Games will be determined before June 30, and 16 athletes will be selected for it.
