Martial Arts and Kabaddi, are you looking forward to them?
On April 13, "Exciting Hangzhou" Zhejiang Youth Martial Arts (Taolu and Sanda) Championships 2022 (Group A) came to an end in Xiaoshan Guali Sports Centre. This event involved 365 athletes from Zhejiang, with 44 gold medals for grabs, including 27 for Taolu, and 17 for Sanda.
Compared with long boxing, Tai Chi and stick acrobatic play included in Taolu, Sanda is more confrontational and competitive, to make the spectators feel very excited. In the men's 65kg Sanda finals (Group A), Xu Wei from Hangzhou Team 1 defeated the competitor, and won the champion.
Xiaoshan Guali Sports Centre won praise from professionals for hosting this event. Lin Xiaomei who was appointed as the competition official of the Asian Games for four times, was Taolu arbitration & competition technology operation director of this event. She said: "The preparation area for athletes and the lighting in the competition venue are very specialized. The overall service level of volunteers is very high."
After the Martial Arts Championships, Guali Sports Centre will also hold the kabaddi competition. Many excellent kabaddi players will compete here. Kabaddi is an ancient sport, with more than 4,000 years of history. Chinese Game "A Eagle Catches Chicks" has some similarities with kabaddi. The difference is that, kabaddi is more physical.
In September and October this year, Xiaoshan Guali Sports Centre will hold martial arts and kabaddi competitions of Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, as well as taekwondo competitions of Asian Para Games Hangzhou 2022. Are you looking forward to them?
