With the approaching to the Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, finishing touches are being made to the Huanglong Sports Center. The reporter entered the Huanglong Sports Center Stadium to feel the atmosphere of Hangzhou 2022 in advance and looked at the new look after reconstruction.

In this reconstruction, the original grass slopes of Huanglong Sports Center Stadium were appropriately raised, connecting with the top of east and west main entrances, to form a surface which looks like rolling green roofs with a 1,000-meter-long air track running around the whole stadium. The air track is a home-made prefabricated plastic track. Its width is 3.1 meters. The track has two 1.2-meter-wide standard tracks and two tracks for walking.

The football field uses “anchoring grass” to make a stronger and durable lawn with the combination of natural grass and artificial grass. This kind of lawn recovers faster than traditional lawn after the games, so that it can meet the demand for frequent football games.

The athletics field adopts the world leading Mondo (an famous Italian brand) prefabricated plastic track, and the whole athletics field meets the requirements of World Athletics level 1 certification.

It’s learned that the stadium, gymnasium, swimming & diving center of Huanglong Sports Center will undertake the football, gymnastics (competitive gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline) and water polo respectively, totally 3 sports, 5 events, and the track and field events of Asian Para Games Hangzhou 2022.
