Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, recently announced a 100-day task list for urban infrastructure improvement in preparation for the approaching 19th Asian Games in September, local media outlets reported.

A total of 22 expressways and subway tunnels will finish construction or upgrading before the end of May and start being evaluated in June.

High-tech infrastructure such as intelligent zebra crossings, traffic lights, bus stations, and road lamps will also be installed.

"By upgrading the city's roads, Hangzhou citizens will feel as if the Asian Games has boosted the city's urban development and infrastructure," said an official from the Asian Games road construction team.

"We hope that after the upgrading, local residents will benefit from the significant improvements in urban infrastructure and interconnected traffic networks," the official added.
