Recently, the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) announced the award of the hosting rights of the 2024 U23 Men's Baseball World Cup to China. The event will be held in 2024 at the baseball field of Shaoxing Baseball & Softball Sports Centre.

This World Cup marks the first event that WBSC will host on the Chinese mainland. It is expected that teams from 12 countries and regions will participate in it, making it one of the highest-level baseball events to be held on the Chinese mainland. The winning of the hosting right means that Chinese baseball sports will attract more international attention and gain international technical guidance for the rapid and high-quality development of China's baseball industry.

Shaoxing Baseball & Softball Sports Culture Centre is competition venue for the Hangzhou Asian Games baseball and softball events. The hosting of the Hangzhou Asian Games baseball and softball events will also help to further improve the facilities and enhance the venue's operation and maintenance capabilities.
