Cycling mountain bike is a cross-country race using mountain bikes. The race site shall be rugged road surface with natural obstacles, and artificial obstacles shall be set up if necessary. The mileage is determined according to the rules for the race time of athletes in different categories and the difficulty of the course. All athletes start at the same time, and the ranking is determined by the order of arrival at the finish line.

The cycling MTB of the Hangzhou Asian Games will be held in Chun'an Jieshou Sports Centre Mountain Bike Course on September 25, where the athletes will compete for 2 gold medals.
