Roller skating

Roller sports are sports that use roller skates or similar. Roller skating is where the athlete travels on smooth terrain with roller skates as fast as possible when racing.
Skates come in two basic varieties quad roller skates which have 4 wheels two either side of the boot and inline skates which have 4 wheels inline down the middle of the sole of the boot.
This means there are different events for the different skates such as speed skating, roller derby and aggressive skating.
Roller sports were incorporated into the Asian Games in 2010.
The Roller Skating event of the Hangzhou Asian Games will be held in Qiantang Roller Sports Centre from September 30 to October 7, and the athletes will compete for 10 gold medals.
