Golf is played on golf courses, each one of which shares a unique design and typically consisting of 18 holes.

Golf competition is generally played as stroke play, in which the individual with the lowest number of strokes is declared the winner.

There are two contrasting parts to the game. On the tee, power is used to hit the ball as close to the hole as possible. The tee shot requires considerable strength in the upper body, and flexibility in the back and legs. When on the green, great muscle control and accuracy are needed to putt the ball delicately into the hole.

Golf was first incorporated into the Olympic Games in 1900 and the Asian Games in 1982.

The golf of the Hangzhou Asian Games will be held in West Lake International Golf Course from September 28 to October 1, and the final in West Lake International Golf Course, where the athletes will compete for 4 gold medals.
